20+10 New Qingchuan Snap Photography Charity Exhibition Opens
By Wang Lei
20+10 New Qingchuan Snap Photography Charity Exhibition has opened for the public since Feb. 2nd. A donation of 13,000 yuan has already received.
Qingchuan is a beautiful name for the city that has been destroyed during the great earthquake. Over 7,000 volunteers from Zhejiang Province are now based there to help locals to re-build their home. At the beginning of January 2010, a team of 10 photographers sponsored by Hangzhou Tower Shopping Centre, City Express and Hangzhou General Association of Charity departed for all the counties and towns in Qingchuan to record the change and beauty of Qingchuan as well as the love built above the ruins. 5 photography-lovers were selected from over 200 readers registered to join.
We have also got a lot of phone calls enquiring about how to purchase the photos. On Jan. 27th Mr. Li Dehua, Senior Manger of China Life Insurance (Group) Company, Hangzhou Branch made a donation of 3,000 yuan by purchasing a photo titled “Childhood with the Accompany of a Puppy Dog” taken by our reader Mr. Jiang Yue. At the same day, our chief commentator Mr. Xu Xunlei donated 5,000 yuan for the earthquake appeal.
Your support and donation is much appreciated!
